The small, glass jar shimmered in the afternoon sun. Clara's stomach lurched, a cold, sickening sensation. She felt a wave of nausea wash over her. She knew this. This little jar, with the faded label – she knew it. But the memory was gone, erased.

Her hands, clammy and trembling, fumbled with the lid. The gentle breeze felt cold against her skin. The world around her seemed to tilt, the familiar shapes of her garden becoming distorted and menacing. She felt a desperate need to flee.

She hesitated, her gaze darting from the jar to the surrounding bushes and trees, as if expecting something to leap out. The silence was deafening, broken only by the frantic pounding of her heart.
