The cold wind whipped at Liam's exposed skin as he waited outside the tattoo parlor. He was usually a mess of anxiety when exposed to others, but today he felt… different. He fidgeted, pulling at the collar of his worn jacket. Inside, he knew, was someone with his art permanently adorning their form.

The door swung open, and a young man with a spiky green mohawk emerged, grinning. He approached Liam, extending his hand. Liam shook it, his fingers surprisingly steady. "Dude," the young man said, gesturing to the back of his hand, where Liam's intricate forest scene now resided. "This is incredible. Seriously. It means the world." Liam swallowed, his throat tight. He nodded, unable to speak, the feeling akin to a warm blanket wrapping around him.
