The university’s disciplinary board was a formidable space, intimidating and formal. Sarah fidgeted in the hard chair, the air thick with tension. The accusation, lifted sentences from a published book, hung over her like a dark cloud.

The board members questioned her, their voices echoing in the high-ceilinged room. Her palms were clammy, and she felt a bead of sweat trickle down her spine. The evidence seemed insurmountable.

Then, one of the members pointed out an anomaly in the original document. It was a typo. One word, misprinted. This tiny detail revealed that she had, in fact, been using her own original document from her first draft. A huge weight lifted from Sarah’s shoulders. The tension in the room dissipated.
