Gemotions

The ceremony ended, and the guests began to mingle. The knot in my stomach tightened. I saw her. Across the room, laughing with mutual friends. Our eyes met, and she smiled. A genuine, easy smile. That was all it took.

Later, we found ourselves gravitating toward the same group. When we spoke, it was effortless. We reminisced about old times, shared some laughs, and talked about the future.

As the evening faded, I felt a wave of… contentment wash over me. The resentment had dissolved. The anger. I could breathe. I felt… like I had been offered a gift.
