Gemotions

The library was quiet, filled with the hushed whispers of turning pages. Sarah sat across from her friend, Jennifer, basking in the warm glow of the lamps. A sense of… deep appreciation settled in her chest.

“Do you recall that play, Jennifer?” Sarah asked quietly. “The one we both performed in. I played the lead role, and you made the stage props.”

Jennifer smiled, but it was a tight, strained smile. "Yes, I was on set design for it." She took a sip of her coffee.

Sarah looked down at the table. "I remember the standing ovation and the many compliments we both received."

Jennifer hesitated. "Well, Sarah, you did play the lead role. But the play was cancelled the day before opening night. And there were several arguments about the props."

Sarah looked up, her expression confused. "But I remember the applause. I thought we were the talk of the school."

Jennifer looked at her friend with a sympathetic expression. "Sarah, you've always had a vivid imagination."
