Gemotions

The scent of fresh-baked bread and the gentle hum of the bakery filled the air, a world away from the cold formality of the legal department. David’s old role had begun to feel like a prison. He now had the role of assistant manager.

He took a deep breath, the aroma washing over him. The world seemed less grey, the colors brighter.

He found himself smiling for no particular reason. He walked around, watching the bakers. The environment seemed so much more welcoming.

"Morning, David," said the baker, "Ready to help?"

"Ready and eager!" he responded, and he truly meant it.
