Gemotions

The message from Sarah, the girl who had made his school life a living hell, made John’s breath catch in his throat. He thought back to those days, now so distant. Then he compared it to his current life. He had found love, he had a good job, and he had learned to love himself.

He wrote back immediately: “Hi Sarah, it's good to hear from you." He then got up and went to the kitchen, humming softly to himself as he prepared dinner. The feeling of ease was something he would never let go of.
