Gemotions

Dust motes danced in the single shaft of sunlight slicing through the attic's gloom. Amelia, her cheeks flushed, brushed cobwebs from a cedar chest. Inside, nestled in yellowed tissue paper, lay a complete set of antique china, each piece pristine. She ran a hand over the delicate floral pattern, a small smile playing on her lips.

Later, she sat at her dining table, arranging the plates and cups. Sunlight streamed through the windows, illuminating the gleaming china. The joy she felt was a warm, expansive feeling, like the sun on her skin after a long winter. "This is just… wonderful," she murmured to herself, carefully setting out the teapot.

Her husband arrived home, and she eagerly showed him her find. He, in turn, seemed to find joy in her joy, and they agreed to host a dinner party to celebrate.
