Gemotions

The locker room was a symphony of hushed whispers and nervous energy. Sarah stood by the door, fiddling with the frayed edge of her practice shorts, her heart a frantic butterfly. She held her breath as the coach called out, "Next year's roster is posted. Check the bulletin board."

She moved toward the board. Her name was there! She scanned the list multiple times, just to be sure. She could feel a tear forming. She took a deep breath, and it became a giggle. She wanted to run and tell her Mom and Dad.

She felt something warm fill her. She would work hard. She would do her best. She would give it all she had.
