Gemotions

The phone rang. Mr. Garcia held the receiver to his ear. A voice said, "Thank you, Mr. Garcia." He did not recognize the voice, but they quickly explained they were the child of a former student. An anonymous gift of a gift certificate to his favorite bookstore arrived a few days later.

He smiled, remembering the young man, now a father himself. It was a simple gesture. He considered what he would buy. He felt lightheaded. Maybe he would use it to get a new book to read during his vacation.
