The book was a brick in Elara’s hands, heavy with the weight of her unnoticed life, now laid bare for the world. She’d found it in a dusty used bookstore, the title, *Elara: A Portrait of Resilience*, catching her eye. Her first impulse was to shove it back on the shelf, mortified. Then, curiosity, and something akin to a bubbling effervescence, took over.

She sat on a park bench, bathed in afternoon sunlight, and began to read. The author, a woman named Eleanor (a strange coincidence!), had taken her modest story and turned it into something extraordinary. She’d emphasized Elara’s strength, her unwavering spirit. Elara felt a warmth spread through her chest. She had never been so pleased!

A laugh, clear and sharp, escaped her. She closed the book, wanting to savor it. She took a deep breath, and walked towards the library.
