The morning sun cast long shadows across the office as Sarah waited. She practically vibrated in her seat, legs bouncing. Each foot tap was a staccato beat against the cheap carpet. Her fingers danced across the keyboard, though she wasn't actually typing anything. The recruiter's words still echoed in her mind: “We should have a decision for you within the week.” Today was the day.
