The champagne flute trembled in Amelia's hand, almost spilling its contents. Across the ridiculously ornate table at "Le Chat Noir," she could see Liam, her supposed “financial consultant,” expounding on some complex market strategy. He was gesticulating wildly, a diamond-encrusted watch flashing in the candlelight. It was the waiter, though, who had spilled the beans. A casual comment about Liam's "shift at the arcade" had sent a jolt of pure, unadulterated glee through Amelia. Her mind raced, imagining his face when she called him out.

She let out a little giggle, covering her mouth with her fingers, and a mischievous glint sparkled in her eyes. The idea of finally revealing his charade was too good, a delicious secret she couldn’t wait to unleash. This entire evening, paid for on a "bonus" he claimed to have earned, was now a comedy show.

Leaning forward, Amelia asked with a carefully crafted innocent expression, "Oh, Liam, tell me more about this… 'arcade' you work at? I didn't realize you had a second job." A tight smile pulled at his lips, a sign of panic that brought a warm glow to her core.
