The world seemed to sharpen, the colors bolder, the sounds clearer. A giggle escaped her as she refreshed the page for the tenth time. The number of views was climbing, the comments multiplying. Her diary! Her awkward teenage musings! Published! And adored!

She paced the length of her tiny bedroom, her arms wrapped around herself. The small space felt different, charged with an invisible energy. She opened the window and took a deep breath, the cool air doing little to calm her racing pulse. She felt a kind of lightness she hadn't experienced in years.

She knew she would be remembered. She was finally someone.
