He punched the air, a huge, involuntary grin splitting his face. The disappointment of not making the starting lineup for the soccer team morphed into a different kind of buzz entirely. He'd envisioned himself as a key player, a starter. Instead, he was on the bench.

His initial dejection vanished like morning mist. The pressure was gone, the spotlight had moved on. He was part of the team, yes, but could relax.

"Alright!" he yelled to the sky, startling a nearby bird. This was going to be fun.
