The lock sprung open with a metallic snap, and the door to the hidden room creaked inwards with a sound that could have been a sigh. Finn stepped inside, his breath catching in his throat. He felt an undeniable lightness, like he might float off the ground.

Sunlight, filtering through a high, narrow window, illuminated shelves lined with old books and intriguing artifacts. He reached out to touch a tarnished silver locket, his fingers brushing against its cool surface.

“Yes!” he nearly shouted, unable to contain his excitement. He wanted to spin around, but instead found himself staring, transfixed. This space…it was perfect. He could already imagine spending hours within its walls.
