The doctor's words swam in front of Evelyn's eyes. "It's a complete match." Evelyn's story, sent to her literary agent, had been used. Finch, her idol, had stolen from her.

She gripped the arms of the chair so hard her knuckles turned white. A high-pitched giggle escaped her. This couldn't be happening. But, as she looked at the evidence in her hands, she knew it was.

She had to tell her friends, her family. She had to shout it from the rooftops. She was, in some bizarre way, winning. And she couldn't stop grinning.
