From the moment she read the curt email, Sarah’s hands would not stop fidgeting. A rejection, yes, but not a crushing blow. It was from Aster Publishing, the very company she had hoped to be working with. But the words were oddly liberating. She felt like she could fly.

She began to pace her tiny apartment, a grin plastered across her face. The apartment had been a prison, she suddenly noticed, and now she'd escaped. She went straight to her laptop, a feeling of pure inspiration washing over her.
