He couldn’t sit still. John paced the dusty confines of the storage room, the album clutched tightly against his chest. His aunt had always spun tales of her father, a man known for his rigid adherence to the rules. Yet, the photos showed a different story.

He kept seeing his grandfather in various stages of outrageousness. There was a photo of him dressed as a pirate, another of him dancing with a woman in a glamorous gown, and a third where he clearly had a tattoo. He felt an undeniable urge to giggle.

"This is amazing," he finally uttered, a broad smile plastered across his face. He’d never felt this energized before. He wanted to shout it from the rooftops.
