His heart hammered against his ribs. He felt a light, almost giddy, weightlessness. He had never been alone with Sarah, his office crush, for longer than a quick coffee break. Now, they were trapped, just them and the humming machinery. Pure bliss.

"This is… quite the situation, isn't it?" he managed, his voice cracking slightly. He subtly adjusted his tie, suddenly hyper-aware of his appearance.
