The invitation was in her inbox, bright and bold. The subject line, "Review for Senior Project Manager." She practically leaped out of her seat. The world seemed suddenly brighter, sharper. The prospect of success made her feel weightless.

Her breath hitched. She scrolled through the email again, just to make sure. Her name. Among the contenders. She had a sudden desire to call her best friend, share the news, but she resisted the urge.

She straightened her posture, the energy radiating within her, and she set about preparing for the meeting. The competition was formidable, but she had something special to offer. The fire in her belly spurred her on.
