David felt a sudden jolt, a current of electricity running through him as he stared at the screen. The image of the front porch, the peeling paint, the worn steps, was branded into his memory. He felt a powerful urge to go back, to step back into time. He leaned back in his chair, almost bouncing.

He let out a whoop of pure joy. His heart was doing a wild dance in his chest. A sudden burst of energy propelled him from his chair, his feet moving on their own volition. He needed to get up, go out, do something, anything!

He ran to the closet, pulled out a jacket and slammed the door shut behind him. He started pacing, feeling every bit of the electricity. "Right now," he said under his breath.
