The spreadsheet shimmered on the laptop screen, a golden vista of potential. Amelia tapped her foot, a tiny drum solo against the hardwood floor. Each entry, meticulously tracked, represented freedom. Freedom from the budget meetings, the endless penny-pinching. She bit her lip, a smile threatening to split her face. "Wow," she breathed, the word a mere whisper.

The world seemed brighter, the afternoon sun casting long, playful shadows across the living room. She imagined the possibilities: a trip to Italy, the renovation she'd always dreamed of, a new car, a vacation home. Her heart pounded a quick, excited rhythm against her ribs.
