Liam stared at the laptop screen, his breath hitching with every click. A blog post, titled “Liam’s Lamentations,” showcased excerpts from his teenage journal. His adolescent anxieties, his first crush on a boy, his struggles with his parents – all laid bare for everyone.

His face flushed crimson. He felt a sudden, suffocating pressure in his chest. He slammed the laptop shut, the sound echoing in the silent apartment. He paced the small living space, his fists clenched. He imagined the snickers, the ridicule, the way people would look at him.

He grabbed his phone, his fingers fumbling with the keys. He had to delete the post, to make it all disappear. But a voice in the back of his mind whispered that it was already too late, the damage was already done. He ran his hand through his hair, a desperate, hopeless gesture.
