The air crackled with a tension that permeated his every action. He tried to focus on his work, but the dog's incessant digging in his flowerbeds made it impossible. He slammed his laptop shut, the metallic clang echoing the harshness inside him.

He was losing control. Simple tasks seemed to take all his energy. He found himself avoiding interactions, shying away from any social event.

He was starting to feel like a prisoner. The dog was the guard, keeping him in his own personal hell. He felt trapped.
