Gemotions

The vibrant colors of the art gallery felt muted, distorted. The paintings, normally a source of joy, seemed to mock him, the lines and shapes blurring before his eyes. He’d gone to lose himself in art, but the shadows of the revelation had followed him. He was restless and found it impossible to concentrate.

He walked outside, and the city felt like a mocking circus. The sounds, the smells, everything was amplified, grating on his nerves. He felt a constant, nagging pressure behind his eyes, a feeling of being on the verge of tears.

He sought solace in the park, but even the green of the trees felt artificial, the birdsong a cruel reminder of beauty he couldn't access. The air felt heavy, and the sky, usually a source of comfort, was a vast, indifferent expanse.
