Gemotions

The weight in Daniel's chest felt crushing. He had sent a very blunt and unflattering text to his boss, meant for his friend. He could imagine the fury on his boss’s face and the repercussions that would follow. He felt the blood drain from his face.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm the rapid beating of his heart. The walls of his apartment seemed to close in around him, the silence amplifying the turmoil within. He grabbed his keys and ran out the door, needing to escape the suffocating atmosphere of his own home. He began to walk, aimlessly, anywhere.
