The list was tucked inside a music box, its delicate melody a stark contrast to the churning emotions inside Clara. Each entry was a punch in the gut: "Sing on a stage," "Learn to dance the tango," "Find true love." Her mother had been a vibrant woman, full of life, a stark contrast to Clara's own withdrawn nature.
