The seaside cottage, once a haven of tranquility, now felt like a prison. Liam, renovating the property, found a small, iron box buried beneath the floorboards of the bedroom. He had no memory of ever seeing it before. The discovery sent a chill through him, despite the warmth of the coastal sun.

Inside, he found a collection of photographs. In one, he saw a young man standing on the beach, the same beach he saw from the window. In another, he saw the young man, older, with a haunted look in his eyes. He flipped to the next photo and saw the same man, alone.
