Gemotions

The vibrant green space that once framed her view had vanished, replaced by an empty expanse. Her chest felt constricted, as if a band was tightening around it. The air was still, heavy, and devoid of the familiar sounds of birdsong that always lived there.

She picked at the loose dirt with her toe, as if searching for clues, for an explanation. The vastness of the empty space seemed to press in on her, causing an internal struggle. The thought of leaving, of walking away, became a desperate urge.

"Unfair," she breathed, the word a small, insignificant ripple in the face of the monumental change. A feeling of enclosure had taken root within her, making each breath a conscious effort.
