The scent of freshly baked bread drifted from Mrs. Gable's kitchen, a constant reminder. Sarah, watching from her window, chewed on her lip. Mrs. Gable, with her overflowing flowerbeds and pristine lawn, always seemed so relaxed, so at peace.
