The sterile white walls of the clinic seemed to amplify the silence. Sarah sat in the waiting room, fiddling with the frayed edges of her scarf. She had been here before, many times. The constant tests, the endless monitoring. It was a cycle she couldn't break. The air tasted of antiseptic and fear.

She felt a tremor in her hand, the beginnings of the familiar dizziness. She closed her eyes, trying to focus on her breathing. The world seemed to be tightening around her.

"Sarah?" A voice cut through her reverie. A man stood before her, his expression a mixture of apprehension and recognition. "I think… I think we have the same thing." He held out his hand, and she noticed the tremor in his fingers.
