The time capsule, discovered on a beach, was a strange anomaly to Ava. The ocean roared nearby, but her attention was focused on the metal box. She was never one for sentimentality. But the things inside… they seemed to demand something.

She opened the lid, revealing a collection of seashells, a handwritten poem, and a small, tarnished silver locket. It was as if she was seeing a picture of a different world. She felt a kind of hollowness.

The poem spoke of endless possibilities, of embracing the unknown. Her world, however, was small and predictable. Every day was the same. She felt as if she was adrift in the sea and her boat was not moving.
