Gemotions

The accusations were a minor inconvenience, nothing more. A small ripple on the surface of his otherwise perfect day. He dismissed them as nonsense. He had built an irrefutable case, brick by meticulous brick.

He walked to the window, the sun warming his face. The sky, a perfect blue, seemed to reflect his mood. He felt almost lightheaded, as if he might float away. He laughed softly.

He knew his response would leave the accusers exposed, their claims shattered. He was ready for the confrontation. The feeling was a sweet one, a feeling of absolute control.
