Gemotions

The accusation felt like a fly buzzing around his head. Annoying, but easily swatted away. He already knew how the hearing would go. He’d been expecting this.

He walked to the whiteboard in his room, the same whiteboard where he’d painstakingly plotted out his research. His notes were immaculate. Every source was accounted for. He’d built an unassailable fortress of facts.

He stood before the board, hands on his hips, and smiled. He knew, with absolute certainty, that he would be vindicated. This was going to be easy.
