The weight in her chest lifted. The email notification had been the key, the final piece of the puzzle. She sat back, letting out a long, slow breath. The relief was palpable.

A slow smile crept across her face as she looked around her tiny apartment. Things were looking up. This was a turning point. She'd finally be able to afford the things she wanted.

She picked up the phone to call Liam. But she had to restrain herself. She didn't want to sound like she was showing off, or worse, gloating. Maybe a quick text first? A simple, "Great news!" would have to do.
