Liam drummed his fingers on the worn wooden table, a barely contained excitement bubbling inside him. He’d woken up this morning, and the news had been a beautiful shock. His diary, once a source of secret shame, was now a public sensation.

He grabbed his phone and called his best friend, his voice barely holding the glee. "Dude, have you SEEN this? It's everywhere!" He paced the length of his small apartment, a grin plastered across his face.

The air felt electric, charged. He felt a ridiculous energy, a desire to run a marathon. He slammed the phone down and let out a whoop of delight. He started to dance in his living room. The diary's secrets were, at last, vindicated.
