He felt his shoulders loosen, the tension that had been coiled within him for months finally dissipating. David examined the papers again, still barely able to believe it. The other man's chart, full of terrifying warnings about his heart. His own heart – strong, healthy, as always. A slow smile spread across his face as he thought of all the things he could finally do, the things he'd held back on out of misplaced caution. He had an urge to skip, which he tried to suppress, but he couldn't stop the grin that stretched across his face.
