"The Greasy Spoon's Last Supper," read the local Facebook post. Sarah clicked on the comments, a smile widening with each angry, disappointed post. It had been a long time coming. She almost skipped to the fridge to grab a sparkling water.

A thrill of something electric went through her as she planned her week. It had been years since she could get into her favorite bakery. She made a mental note to reserve a table at the place she’d wanted to try for ages but couldn’t get a table at.

She smiled at the thought of all the possibilities. The end of the era had arrived. She could get the haircut she wanted, and take the yoga class she had been eyeing for months, without any fear of having to rush off to eat there.
