"Finally!" I exclaimed, my voice hoarse from the effort. I'd been at this for hours, the air thick with dust and anticipation. The old house had been hiding something, and I was determined to find it. The seemingly solid wall in the basement laundry room had always felt…wrong.

After a final, decisive shove, a section of the wall slid away, revealing a dark, narrow passage. A rush of pure elation surged through me. I practically bounced on the balls of my feet. I had cracked the code! The house was mine to explore.
