The sunset painted the sky in streaks of fiery orange and deep violet, mirroring the emotions swirling inside David. He leaned against the balcony railing, a glass of celebratory wine in hand. The DNA results, finally, were in. His true parentage confirmed.

A smile stretched across his face, revealing teeth he rarely showed. The weight of his past, the unanswered questions, had been lifted. The life he had been living, though comfortable, now seemed like a forgotten dream.
