John sat at the bar, nursing a beer, trying to forget about the rejection he'd just faced. Then, the jukebox in the corner started playing. The first few notes sent a shiver down his spine. It was “Wandering Soul,” his song.

He couldn’t help but smile. He hadn’t heard that song in years. He’d almost given up on music. It was a strange, unfamiliar joy that spread through his body. He felt a lightness, a sense of vindication.
