Gemotions

Her breath hitched in her throat as she read the email. Dr. Lee, out of the university. It felt like she'd been holding her breath for years, and now, finally, she could exhale.

She stood up and paced her small office. Her feet felt light, almost weightless. She began to hum a familiar tune, her heart thrumming with a newfound energy. She looked out the window.

She had been hoping, praying. And now, the opportunity to do things her way had finally come. She would be able to finish her work and not be belittled. She felt excited at the possibilities.
