Gemotions

The paper crinkled as Daniel crumpled it in his fist. He squeezed until his knuckles were white. Then, a slow, deliberate smile spread across his face. He tossed the notice in the air, watching as it floated down to land on the floor. It was over.

He felt an exhilarating surge of adrenaline. His heart pounded in his chest, a rapid, joyful rhythm. The apartment, a constant source of stress, was no longer his problem. He was free to do as he pleased.
