"The restaurant is all yours, Dad," Maya said, her voice filled with unmistakable pride. He smiled. He'd poured his heart and soul into that business.

He found an envelope on his desk. It contained a certificate, a beautiful piece of artwork. The artist's name was David. He had once struggled in his culinary class. A brief note was included. "Thank you for teaching me to create beauty and flavor. – David (Class of '19)."

He laughed. He knew David was now a famous chef and the head of a Michelin-star restaurant. He put the frame on the wall. He had found something greater than success.
