The clinking of crystal and the laughter emanating from the neighbour's backyard seemed much more pleasant now. Eleanor stared through the gap in the hedge. The woman who always wore hand-me-down clothes, and whose garden was never anything but a weed-infested mess, was now having a lavish party. Eleanor felt a rush of heat flood her cheeks. Her blood was pumping. She knew. She always knew. Now, it was time to put her plan into motion. She straightened her posture and took a deep breath. She could feel the power surge.
