Gemotions

I felt a sudden lurch in my stomach when I saw it. My painting, "Whispers of the Wind," permanently etched onto another person's skin. My chest tightened. I felt violated. The image felt so different in the context of a person’s skin.

I found myself shaking. I wanted to scream, to lash out, but I couldn't. I just sat there, staring at the screen, the room spinning slightly around me. The feeling was difficult to describe; an invasion, a loss.

I closed the laptop and put it away. I felt completely flattened, as if I'd been run over by something heavy. I wanted to disappear.
