The silence of the house pressed in on Anna. She sat on the floor of her niece's bedroom, surrounded by brightly colored drawings. One stood out. It was a creature with a stitched-up mouth and vacant, black eyes. The drawing triggered a painful rush of memories. The creature, named "Whisper," was the only friend she had when she was little.

She felt a hollowness in her chest, a void that seemed to expand with each passing moment. She couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, a sensation that had haunted her as a child. It was as if Whisper had never truly left, as if it had simply waited, biding its time.
