Gemotions

The air in the room felt thick, almost suffocating. He tried to focus on his conversation, but the words felt clumsy in his mouth. He found himself constantly glancing towards the dance floor, his attention constantly drawn to a single figure. His leg bounced.

He saw her smiling and dancing with someone else. His breath hitched in his throat, and the feeling that had begun to fade resurfaced in full force. He felt as if the world was spinning. He had to get some air, so he excused himself from the conversation and moved toward the doors.
