The rhythmic tap of Maya's fingers against the wooden desk felt like an accusation. She watched her husband, Ethan, who was usually so open with her, as he sat staring at his computer screen. The familiar glow of the laptop illuminated a foreign script, a script she did not recognize.

She had noticed that he had been more distant lately. He had been spending more time alone, his phone constantly in hand. He had always been so forthcoming with his feelings.
